NXT USA is bringing its newest clinically validated ingredient innovation, Xeya Modern Shatavari, to SupplySide Global (Booth 7501).

Rooted in Ayurveda and elevated through modern science, Xeya Modern Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus) is standardized at a market-leading 15% shatavarins, the company said. This means an effective dose of only 50-100 mg, according to multiple human clinical trials NXT USA has conducted.

Shatavari roots are used to balance hormones that can affect women’s health from first menses through reproductive years and to perimenopause and through menopause.

“Xeya Modern Shatavari is the low-dose leader, which makes it an excellent choice for supplement formulators,” said Eric Anderson, managing director of NXT USA, based in Metuchen, NJ. “We just published a study on perimenopausal women, showing impressive results for relief from hot flashes as well as improved mood, sleep, and hair and skin quality.”

The double-blind, placebo-controlled, 120-day study found significant improvements in somatic symptoms such as hot flashes, fatigue, and sleep disturbances, and a 74.5% improvement in psychological symptoms including mood swings, anxiety, and brain fog.

A second study on women of reproductive age with PCOS, a common and underrecognized condition, found Xeya Modern Shatavari supported menstrual cycle regularity, maintained healthy hormone levels, and promoted ovarian function and ovarian follicle health.

Additional studies are underway researching Xeya Modern Shatavari on menopause and bone mineral density.

“Clinically validating unique branded ingredients is the hallmark of NXT USA’s ingredient portfolio,” said Anderson. “Comprehensive human clinical trials with carefully selected endpoints gives supplement brands the confidence to make claims that resonate with consumers.”

Xeya Modern Shatavari can also be seen in the New Products Zone kiosk area, just before entering the main convention show floor entrance.

Ethnotobanist and author Kerry Hughes will also be talking about shatavari on the Product Development Stage, #8011, on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 4:30-4:50. NXT USA is pleased to sponsor this educational event, “Shatavari Solutions: The Metrics That Matter,” that will cover important considerations for formulators, ingredient buyers and brand managers in selecting shatavari ingredients, from bioactives to dose and cost-in-use.

NXT USA will also have at its booth education around its other branded ingredients:

  • TamaFlex: Delivers joint comfort in just 5 days, supporting joint function, comfort, and flexibility.
  • Digexin: In 7 days, Digexin promotes regularity and relief from constipation, gas, and bloating, working through the gut-brain axis to lower cortisol and increase serotonin.
  • BluNADBooster: A botanical duo that engages the body’s NAD+ production pathway and targets enzymatic pathways to lead to prolonged preservation of NAD+ levels.
